Unfreezing December

I may let my precious moments elapse         And let my golden days pass    I may let the reminiscing memories dash Yet I don't have the heart to forget Christmas.        Christmas comes like a dawn      A feeling of freshness is blown     Like the whisper of the morning breeze       As it coolly touches my skin   It gives a sensation I'm always dreamin'.   At night when it's cloudy in the heavens     The twinkling stars may not be seen    Yet colorful series lights and lantern   Offer me a wonderful gaze even it rains.       People nod, smile and pause    Greetings are exchanged ubiquitous      Be it in a letter or in a voice  Profound message of love is my best choice.             Gift abounds...            Love surrounds...   Festive celebration seems without bound  In my life it reverberates a joyful sound.      Sorrows, problems, tears vanish     Kisses, cares, laughter flourish    Embracing the time to share and give   The time to get-together, love and forgive.    All dream sprouts and starts to burgeon      To the zenith or beyond the horizon   More than a wish, a smell of sweet perfume         In this Yuletide season.  Every hope glows and pours a scent of myrrh     Every heart, every mind sets astir   The fragrance of love is beyond compare       In this unfreezing December.     Come and rejoice, join the angels sing         As the carol begins to ring          To Him we dance and cling        Laud the Lord Christ the King.

Enjoyable piece and reflection on the season. I have a minor suggestion and that deals with structure. Throughout your piece you kept this in a four line pattern except for the second stanza where there are five lines. Although it doesn't take away from your presentation it does effect flow and structure. Just a thought. Like how you start this off saying you can not forget Christmas for it is imbedded within. Your use of words like fragrance of love, golden days pass, embracing the time to share are my favorite parts. Thanks for sharing.

Jordan, Thank you so much for this wonderfully refreshing look at the season. Yes, it is true, should we let in the spirit of the season and all it holds it will defrost even the coldest December. With all that goes before us in this world it is so nice to have the saving grace of our Lord and this wondrous time to remind all of his coming. Your poem is well structured and an easy read which flows from thought to thought without hesitation. Perfecto' Warmest always, Lora
