The Illusions of our Reality

the reality of our illusions are only the illusions of our  reality- we all go searching and grasping clawing through demons in our  closets called: fear and depression low self worth and hopelessness or anger and guilt -all the same demon  only wearing a different mask- with all those pills we swallow down trying to find peace in a prescription -xanax,prozac,valium and vicodan  ritalin, sleeping pills,  tranquilizers or percodan- while others wade through                bottles of booze hoping to find peace of mind at the bottom always looking surprised when they find nothing like they just cracked open a fortuneless cookie and yet amazingly- they will open another bottle tomorrow and THAT one will be the winning lottery ticket still more scramble through lovers believing in that ever elusive specific someone to define them as 'good' and most settle for 'good enough' some wallow deeper into the deceptions of cocaine and heroin chemical reactions putting God given sensibilities in traction creating more illusions over feeding the ego punishing the body starving the soul it's no wonder we don't hear  that small voice amidst all of our  collective clamoring trying to tell us  to just stop and listen to that gentle humming- the core of our essence- the serenity inside ourselves ssshh....can you feel it?
