Satirization of my day

Raindrops keep falling on my head I tried to dance between them but instead I ran to the beach with eggs in hand, And threw them to my gulls and watched them land     Splat! Raindrops and roses, And blue woollen mittens With this cold rain I am not smitten The rain and the cold is not what I like most I really would like to get off this bit of western coast I’d like to live out in the Arizona heat Where I’d only have the scorpions to attack and beat     Splat! So dream on dreamer I could have thought of buying a “Beamer” But instead I thought of the warm fire Of roasting marshmallows and playing the lyre     Splat!     Dreams broken     I woke up and had to settle      For some hot chocolate in a tea cup!
