Ordained

So many directions, yet the consequences predetermined. What lies in-between,          is what’s far-reaching. Not it’s dawn,          or dusk. To have peace,           one must contain the thoughts. To have joy,            one must fathom the feelings. To have turbulence,            one must construct it. To have failure,            one must formulate it. For in the end, life is remembered, only for the spirit, within it’s duration.

Thomas, You always hit the nail on it's head! For in the end, life is remembered, only for the spirit, within it’s duration. We are cause and affect of our actions. Responsability is the 'word'. Love your work! Dellena

Dear Thomas, Nice work, very deep and soul searching poem. I'm always intrigued, by others thoughts on life. Perceptions vary, and within the frame of a poem, feelings surface in the nicest ways. First verse, I feel you are saying, the plan was made for us before we began, is that true? If not, let me know what your meaning was. Dawn & dusk, are great choice, for beginning to end - or light to dark. I believe peace is one of the hardest things for man to find. That does not come easy in todays world, and I find, it's difficult to hold that thought, every day. Last verse is my favorite, feeling somewhat the same way in respect to spirit. For in the end, each of us, should be remembered in this way. Best to you, Denimari

Hi Tom, I really really like this. For one thing, it's just plain and simple TRUTH. "Ordained"-nice title and I remember in the bible God says all the days of our lives were written in his book before we are born. "Fathom the feelings"--great alliteration. Nice ending. Best, Jennifer

I enjoy this work so much Thomas, and can relate so well. Much wisdome within your lines and one can tell that you have thought this through. It is the journey, although perdetermined isn't it, but sometimes we as humans has a tendency to forget to enjoy the trip. It is all in the way one chooses to handle what is given him, and yes in the end, "life is remembered, only for the spirit, within it's duration. Nicely done, I love the spirituality of the piece. Will make the reader think a little deeper perhaps.
