OTHER SIDE OF A LIFETIME

On the other side of a lifetime lies Heaven's glorious shore. It is here that I shall wait for you with the others who have gone before. All of God's creatures return here, we're only immortal for a limited time, so our memories and love are entrusted to those that we leave behind. I know there is sadness and sorrow, pain that just won't go away, but the weight on your heart will lessen as you go from day to day. It's true my life among you is over and we must be apart for awhile, so just hold me close in your memories, remember my voice, my laugh, my smile! For someday we'll be together again and until then you'll be just fine, 'cause I'll be looking over you from the other side of a lifetime.

Additional Notes:
I wrote this piece in eulogy to a dear friend who died suddenly many years ago. I am submitting it in hopes that it may comfort those who have lost someone dear to them than for any other reason. I thank you for taking the time to read it. God Bless!
