A "Prayer" for My Brothers and Sisters in Light

I Pray...    I pray all your troubles and fears are carried away upon leaves washing down the gutter after cleansing fall rains into nothingness I pray you will know my gratefulness an eternal embrace  constant as a delicate desert breeze tranquilly warming the wilderness from winter’s chilling grip I pray you will always hear the voice of my heart soft susurrations of solace for your soul Soothing, compassionate,  ever-present as spring’s moonlit tides I pray you will always recognize my love fiery as summer’s morning sun bringing life to a brand new pristine day delivering it from darkness I pray you will always feel my friendship immeasurable as the sky ever encircling ever evolving, ever growing as endless as the seasons that foretell it’s beauty You are my Brothers and Sisters in light, I shall cherish each and every one. You are my Brothers and Sisters in Light, You dwell forever in my heart. You are my Brothers and Sisters in light, So mote it be. ~

Additional Notes:
On August 18, 2006, I was in a very severe auto accident. The other driver ran a stop sign at over 80 mph, and I was doing 60 mph when we hit. It was a very bad high speed collision. Life-flight chopper bad. I flipped her car in mid-air, and we, ourselves, were airborn three times (bouncing). We ended up 187 feet out in a farmer's field. Both her, and my injuries were extensive. Air-bags never deployed, and the seat belt ripped my abdominal wall from hip to hip. Also brusied heart muscle, lungs, some head trauma, and neck & spine injuries. I have not been able to sit long enough at the computer to do anything since then. I hope you will all forgive my long absence. I have been in rehab for some time now, and am doing much better. It will be a long road to full recovery, but I'm determined! :) It's so good to be posting again, and I will do my best to try to sit here an read some of your wonderful offerings, as well. During this time a number of people sent well-wishes, and prayers to me. I so very much appreciate all of you. I would like to especially thank Marilyn, DeniMari, and Lora for their prayers here on the forum. You ALL mean so very much to me! This "Prayer" is for all of you, with much love and gratitude for your friendship and thoughtfulness. You ARE my Brothers and Sisters in Light, and I love each and every one of you!

Mary, Not that we're not 'good folk' before a terrible tramau.............but afterwards we grow so much more sensative, caring, appreciative of even the smallest thing, more intune with our personal God. Life/health once taken for granted is no more. I see where you are spiritualy and emotionally. Believe this or not.........'you have been blessed'. With more ability to have understanding of pain/loss. You will love deeper, be more loyal, your life today has more value to you. I hope you get to writing of your new emotions now while they are fresh. Get/use a tape recorder........now. Blessings, Dellena

Oh Mary you have touched my heart in a special way. I didn't know about your terrible ordeal but now that I do I will also keep you in my prayers. Recovery is a long road, and sometimes we never make it around the first bend. I see that you have made that first turn-and that is the beginning of a wonderous end. May God bless you and yours in your times of trouble! I say -forget the formalities of form! Forget the formalities of proper word usages or spelling or punctuation or anything else I can think of. This is a poem from the depth of your heart and no amount of work can make it better! Thank you for sharing this with us. I think you should write more about your accident (maybe your healing stage, etc). I know that writing about my head trauma made me come to grips with it much sooner than if I had just sat on it.... don't think! write! Best to you my dear, Ellen

Dear Mary....this beautifully written poem brings tears to my eyes. I was just on the forum and told you I hoped you would write again soon....and here you are! You have written this poem so well. Lovely word choices demonstrate that you wrote this poem with much passion and emotion. I do pray that you are being delivered "from darkness" with each new day. You are so fortunate that you are even alive. What a terrible ordeal you have suffered...the pain must have been unbearable. I'm so glad you are back with us and took the time to write us all a poem. Sunday I will put your name on our prayer list and ask for healing. Take my care, my friend. God Bless....Marilyn
