A Christmas Card

May the day of His birth    Bring to you a heart that is full   With exquisite love to slake your soul Drink deep of silence that is the night    And the holiness that becomes His rite    May you see glories of Christmas dawn Embrace the sun bright mountain’s throng     Snow shall fall like white Chantilly lace  And shine His light with infinite grace         On the day of His birth

I know this is late but at least I'm getting back into it. I appreciate your sentiments here though I am not a believer in Christ. Your words are simply put and understandable. I may add one thing...there is only snow in half the world! Happy holidays.

Marilyn, Nice like Chantilly lace! Snow can be beautiful and such and yet so deadly for mountain climbers. Your poem is feminine and gentle and loving. It could be a Christmas card. I just wish we lived in such a wonderful place. Peace to all is my dream. Thanks for wonderful 'card'. Hope your days are blessed with love. A friend Dellena

Beautifully stated poet and may the peace, love and joy of the Christmas season remain in your heart all year long. No matter what the season is Jesus is the reason for celebration of LIFE......both physical and spiritual. Your words are well felt. God Bless, Claire

What sweet and sentimental thoughts! This is a nice Christmas card. I think your friends will enjoy it. I can't find my dictionary and don't know the word 'slake', so if you want to, you can enlighten me on that one. I'm really glad that you chose to send us wishes that included Jesus. This year people have become so radical about it! I will maintain that Christmas should be for those who believe in Him. Thanks for sharing this with us! It's good to get a card and fun to share your own. Merry CHRISTmas Marilyn!
