PUSSYCAT

pussycat pads up and down the hallway peeking in each  empty room voicing his displeasure looking for a  ghost existing in a parallel plane beyond the reach of pussycats

Monica, Wonderfully put, and such a vivid picture you've painted of Mouchie's wanderings. I enjoyed this easy flowing well paced poem even in it's sadness. I empatize with you and Mouchie, God bless and keep you. Best, Lora

Monica, And they may well see in the parrallel plane.' We have the ability to see a certain scope of vision and there is quite a bit unviewed. Who knows really what another sees. When someone dies, the worst thought is they will be forgotten. Arnie was very memorable. For sure. Very unique. Your poem is very touching. I think I've seen your cat! Nice lolving, missing him poem. Keep writing it may help you ... Dellena

Hello, Monica. I like the delivery and the light heartedness of this one. I know that this is a sad time for you. I'm glad that Mouchie is there with you, sharing with you. You've managed to 'lift up' a heavy burden without breaking Mouchie cat's spirit, for us...Mouchie was a friend here.. Good writing. I hope you will keep this up, Ellen

Hi Moni...it never ceases to amaze me the intuition of animals. They always know when you feel bad and they know when someone they love is missing. My husband was in the hospital from August to Oct. before he passed away. We had a little poodle and she began to act out her frustration in missing him...tearing things up and pooping on the floor...none of which she did before. Just before he died I brought his things home from the hospital and I just sat the bags on the floor when I went in the door. She stuck her nose in the bags and began to wag her tail then she sat in front of me and looked up as if to ask me where he was. I said "he is not in there Pepper and he isn't ever coming home." She actually let out a wail like I had never heard before and it stab at my heart as if a knife had been run through it. Not only do they know something is wrong but they understand most of what we say. Mouchie will heal in time, just as you will, but it will take time for both of you. This poem is so sad but I know there are brighter days ahead....I promise. Blessings....Marilyn

Oh so true Moni....they say dogs are man's best friend but my two cats certainly are lost when Jerry leaves home and their behavior certainly shows it. Moucie certainly has allowed his lost feelings to come through with his pacing, peeking and voicing his concerns.....I pray you are doing well and trying to keep busy. It is nice to find one of your poems listed here on the link again. I am certain you have your special angel watching over you day and night. He loved you so. Take good care, God bless, Claire
