The Deeper Madness

She whimpered, softly so    taken as was want, ago. Unknown deliverance and     intrepid expectation The child borne to none. The church's steps trailing    inside to a Savior nailing As He was, the baby to a Cross    of more than this upon a toss, Dice held in the hand of madness.

Hi James....this is a powerful poem and very thought provoking to say the least. I'm not feeling too smart today so please explain the line....softly so taken as was want, ago. I believe it is Mary who is whimpering over her Son being nailed to the cross. However, 'so taken as was want, ago'....gies me pause. The remainder of this piece is wonderful with good word choices. It is terse but says just what it has to and I agree this act was madness. I'm thinking you wrote this for Easter but somehow I missed it the first time around. Well done, my friend. Marilyn

James, You have such a wondrous way with verbiage and visionage, I am continously in awe and drawn to your work. The flavor of your write leaves the appetite wanting more and yet strangely satified at the same time. Your thought provoking words leave much too ponder and yet they resonate deep inside the spirit, what madness has delivered this to our door-the game of life-a game of chance, roll the dice, what will be will be. Even if it seems by chance-luck of the draw; all things calculated to cosmic number; it is a well laid out map, things are what they are for reasons that we may not fathom...very enjoyable read, great mind food. Best, Lora

Ho James, Easter, Jesus nailed to a cross. As I mentioned to MS, why did Jesus/born a jew, living as a jew, the last supper Passover, start a new church? I just wonder. Good job, short to the point. I wonder why the commandments say its a sin to kill yet it's ok to have religious wars? And if God says cut your child in half, you obey? Forgive me I've sinned to question. Dellena

Hello James, "Dice held in the hand of madness"..wow!! the luck of the draw so it be. Powerful piece, but James "who the madman??" and what responsible for the madness in the first place..very thought provoking indeed! you are a very powerful pen, with little words you strick out with much girth indeed! and I for one really appreicate that style.
