Infatuation

You took my breath away One doesn't need two breaths  To live fully and happily I cannot exist without mine! So would you please give it back?

Dellena, Hi! I love this. It is so-o-o-o concise and to the point. I really love shorter works these days. I don't know if it is the result of impatience or a realization that this is what poetry does best. At any rate this poem is proof that you do it very well. I have missed you by the way and but for the saying of it, it goes without saying. -Rick

Dellena, Your dry sense of humor is not wasted on this reader, love your ending. I applaud what you've said and the way you've said it in this easy flowing easy to read simplistic poem. Brava! Best always, Lora

CUTE! and almost anyone can relate... its like one of my favorite quotes "prithee send me back my heart, since I cannot have thine, for if from yours you will not part, than why shouldst thou have mine?"- John Suckling (SONG)

Men have something of a retort like this, but it's a bit more naughty. Of course, I'll give you credit for a "thought poem" although I doubt few others will. My Midoz (midol) poem notwithstanding. Hope things are more agreeable to you...and that breath comes back nice and fresh. JCH

Hi D....an interesting five line poem that speaks volumes. I have known people who took my breath away, as well, and as far as I know I never got it back either. This is a clever idea for a poem and I would like to see you expound on it a bit! Well done. Cheers....Marilyn

Hooray!! Hooray!! Excellent and then he writes a song. I watched the cat grasping for something in the air, a fly maybe... and never reaching... and then the poem- powerful, of love, maybe unrequited, maybe un wanted, or maybe.. Hooray!! Exstatic, and we must breath... CPR? That will replace 1/3 the oxygen, but never the breath.... After your last two, I hope you are alright Dellena. Sometimes it all just gets too hard to excuse.
