The Beauty of Dreams

I have dreams that I could fly Place my foot upon the sky. Maybe I'd zoom into space Great storms may give chase. Whirling winds toss me around Spin me though space with  abound. Dashing with comets and stars Burning brightly near and far. Astrologic beauty beams Stars are born in silent screams. Noctural novas so bright   Dancing to my dream's delight Floating close to earth I see How lovely our rock can be Ending my flight though space My feet left barely a trace

Paul...This is just beautiful! An abundance of vivid imagery makes this such a pleasure to read, as does a wonderful rhyme scheme, and cadence. It flows right along, as if we were being swept up into the dream right along with you. "....stars are born in silent screams...." LOVE this line! The write, in its entirety, evokes such depth of thought... Yes, what would we be if not for dreams? It is a freedom not to be taken lightly, lest we become starved of their beauty in our lives. Well done, poet! Thank for this much needed respite, and the journey into the realm of dreams this morning. I so enjoyed this! Best Always, Mary

Ah, the romantic always and with such glib verse. I really enjoyed this lyrical rhyme and the pictures you painted with it. Does definitely give one a few thoughts to ponder. In stanza 2 L2 typo I think "though" is it suppose to be "through" also 4th stanza L3; same word/ typo? It is a shame that we can't fix those things on the fly here at TPL... just the same wonderful peaceful poem you've given us and for that I thank you. Best always, Lora

Paul, BRAVO! You have penned this piece with excellence. Your theme follows the read through out. Your imagery is breathtaking and stars being born in silent screams (my favorite line) I love it! Rene

Dear Paul, My, this poem left me breathless. To be able to fly (which I always which I could and endorse it in my website, you have given me a view of what the possibility could be. You’re rhyme signifies what a great poet you are. I would love to zoom into space, yet I know it is all upon grace. The spinning in tossing one around, it enchanting. Can you only imagine would it would be like? I have no idea what it could possibly be like, but from your poem, I gain a new perspective. In my website, this is just what I have imagined. Regardless that you’re feet left barely a trace, I can see a viewpoint I have not seen before. Thank you for giving this to me. My very best Debbie

I have to agree with you....we would be lost without our dreams........and I can honestly say when I was a young girl the nuns would tell my mom.....she's a dreamer alright......looks like you are one too my friend for this one certainly does take flight with each flare of your pen.....this work also has a nice rhyme to it and continues to flow with one image after another. I would always dream a little before going to sleep and found you were able to bring your dreams to rest and become reality in the night. Thanks again, God Bless, Claire
