Sara

Sara hides inside herself Under long and flowing hair She doesn't show the pain she felt She doesn't speak, she isn't there She's somewhere far beyond her eyes Secrets kept behind her stare She speaks no truths, she tells no lies No one knows she isn't there Some time ago when she could sing Someone stole into her mind Bruised her soul and broke her wings Left her empty, silent, blind Returning once, the thief did smile And touched a hand upon her hair Sara, he said, lay down awhile She had no words, she wasn't there
