The Beauty Of Existence

If I weren’t here where would I be? Would I be a bee or would I be a tree? Would I be the cloud on high or would I be a bit of sky? Could I become a part of sun, shining over everyone? Would I be a pleasing soul no matter where I go? Would the beauty in each of us forever be a plus? Am I a mirror of the godly mind all the time? As man's likeness, am I the rose of creations plan?

Hard not to smile at this poem. How very sunny and happy of you to share this impulse of words with us. Again, you strike me with your ability to be brief- alas, I am far too wordy! It's like a little piece of candy in words for a spring and summer's day. You ask many questions here, yet the answers are brightly implied also in my mind. In fact, when I first read this, I didn't even see the questions (like in the movie The Matrix: "I don't even see the code anymore, I see blonde brunette, redhead"), I only saw the answers they implied. Surpassingly beautiful work. Om, Regis

Hi Del.....you are a beacon in the night..shinning bright for all the world to see......loved the read, enjoyed your would I be or could I be.....yesterday Jerry took me with him to deliver tires on Cape Cod.....loved the day, sun bright, feet felt the warmth of the inland water, salty to the taste.....and as I just gazed in awe at the beauty of God's creation I wondered what it would be like to be able to just fly above it all and see it from another's point of view. The Beauty of Existence is a lovely title and I hope all that read share it with someone else......certainly brought y own imagination to life. Thanks for posting and for being such a grand part of this link....take good care, God Bless, Claire

Hi D....a critiquer once told me a poem should not be written that is comprised of questions without giving the answers. However, you have asked some profound questions to which there are no answers. At one time or the other I think we have all wondered why we became human when, with just a little altering of DNA, we just might be a bug. An intertesting concept for a poem....very thought provoking. Blessings....M.

I suppose Dellena, those are questions often thought, asked; and yet in thier asking is the answer. To search such beauty in the combination of dna required to configure the quanta of the universe into a specific, unique soul- now there is power and there is beauty. To find in your verse those aspects which cause us to wonder, remains the soul answer to the questions. I think; technically, without parent- the uniqueness is never created. As for the rose? It may very well be our uniqueness is universal, not just temporal. Thanks for sharing.

In the scheme of the adepts lies a devout belief that what is constructed perfectly in the mind, can come to manifest in the physical form. Likewise the most perfected adept holds all reality as thought. Has the world lost its adepts? The real ones? Or do they wait upon something, quiet to teach...no ear turned their way? Look around you, my dear, who listens? For your poem is not fanciful with these observances in mind. JCH
