The Nearness of My Beloved Have I seen your face my beloved? Were you drawn to me in the silence of the night by the tender hand of The Unseen? Have our souls touched, yet in our haste in outward attractions have we turned away? Do we look and yet not see? Do you not recognize me? The music of my heart arouses me to your presence. My heart has embraced your heart a million times in my dreams-- I awaken whispering your name into the breeze of the heavens as I quiver with thoughts of your fragrance.
