Sweet Symphony of Eternal Bliss

My bended knee touches ground as I reach for a feather that I have found. Cherised blue crimson white light in my palm. Sign from an angel I whisper my favorite psalm. Under this space; lies my sweet soul; tender grace. Heroicly humble. Proud and discreet, Earned such honor traveling tragic streets. Blood that you saved; in hearts that still beat, Were lucky to have had the blessed of the best. With the help of your hands and God's eye So many lived because you were there, That perhaps would have died. My shoulders feel cool, as I walk away Your feather in one hand, I look back and blow you a kiss, Pray that you've found Heaven's eternal bliss.

Beautifully penned, filled with such love from your heart which is breaking even as you wrote this...... Like the feather that you have found, gives me the feeling of angels .....Heaven's eternal bliss is beautifully stated as well. Though at many times I refer to Heavenly's green garden.... for what better a place to be whole and free once more......thanks for posting, always nice to find your work. This is a must for the poetry contest this month. God Bless, Claire

Hi Deni, This is a very emotional post and would pull at anyone's heart strings...Losing a child must be one of the most agonising tragedies a mother could face and one cant really feel the weight of your emotion unless having been there before. Yet, your poem gives us a sense of this pain and more....More, because it speaks of pride as much as it does, of pain. Being a soldier is one of the most honorable services one can render...your heart must have pulled both ways at that difficult time. poetically, I am keen to know your technique better. i do see some rhyme here and then there are times when it harbors on free verse. Duane.
