Our Voting for Poems, Please Help..

I am and have been really confused as far as how to vote for poems. And on what scale is the voting? 1 to 10? etc? Anyway, I have repeatedly read the voting rules but am still confused. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Rene'

Hi Rene.....as far as I know you are the only one who knows how a poem 'hits' you.....how it makes you feel, if the writer has brought it to life with images, and how it might have affected you in any way......what one person sees, feels, hears, smells, touches, is different for each one of us and that also counts with poetry......what touches me might not touch you and vice versa.....so....for the end of the month contest just use your heart and you will do just fine. On a scale of one to ten I always put number one as being the best presented poem in that month. There are so many ways to judge something too......Hope this helps you in some small way.........Merry Christmas to you and all you hold dear in your heart. God Bless, Claire

Remember, after you vote, copy and paste your selections in the 'new poem submission' so we could all have a look at the poems you voted for. Happy to oblige, Rene. Some of the controls in the voting procedures don't always work the way they're supposed to so it's adviseable to wait until just before the end of the voting period and do everything at once. Decide what poem you like best. When you bring it up there is a link at the top of the page that says, "add to voting list". Hitting that link places the poem in the first position on your list. Do the same with the second, third, and so forth. When I've tried to change the postion of poems I have already placed there, things have gone wrong several times. When you feel comfortable with your choices (try to vote on at least 7, preferably 10,) hit the "cast your vote now" button and that's it. If you would like to account for your choices and further discuss them, you can submit your vote either here or on the forum (if your credits are running short.) If you need credits, for whatever reason, I've some to offer. Hope I've been of assistance, JCH
