Desolate

Where the air was once warm and humid- full up with your blazing love I now lay here shivering in this frozen void curled up within myself My only company is that of my breaths' clouds hanging in the deep freeze of your departure You have reduced me to this pitiful sniveling state where my soul is no longer able to fly- with a broken wing dragging along beside And as I pick tiny shards of my broken heart out of the soles of my feet I wonder where the man went- now muddying up my future and my belief in destiny
