Upon Conducting a Class for Poets

I want you, those that have poked a head     outside to see what tiny tread Rain sounds upon a leaf in summer. I want you, that know slant is no friend     to meaning and even love takes truth To endure again and again and again. I want you, that can sit on a stone and find    it warm in winter thinking of spring.

Hi James, Wonderful. You have effectively captured the essence of poetry writing and all that it entails in your call to poetry class. I would happily attend in an endeavour to turn the world on its head through rhyme and reason. Duane.

Very warm sentiments in this poem JC. Enriched with more soul; positive and alert; someone who is awake at all times in life; not just going through it to exist from day to day. This is encouraging to read. The second verse is my favorite part of this poem. It's true to the meaning in love, endurance is necessary to keep love alive. The title is what caught my eye - it's very different - clever; and wants a reader to open it up and "poke their heads into it"... Naturally; I see no flaws in structure; flow is consistant and the read is pleasurable. Think I'm adding yet another one of yours on my list this month. Blessings, Deni

Ah James, if only you could find a class of such beings, those who would hear the catapillar crawl across the leaf, the cricket amid big city sounds, or just smell the rain while it is yet hours away...you do know that they try to lock most who are that sensitive; up don't you...I will join your class if you will allow, my only request is: more please, very enjoyable, tantalizes the senses and messages the cerebral...much needed today..thank you. James, I enlist! I love truth, I love stones of every season, I endure, I'm a curious soul. I would join and sit at your feet, learning. As I've all ready learned so much about many things from you. You are a teacher, my friend.. Dellena
