Just For Tonight

We were lover's immensed in song,    rythmic hearts beating together. Our dueling tongues laughed dark secrets,    that both of us were afraid to mention. Just for tonight. I was nervous, you were attentive,    butterfly kisses, touching me, places unseen. Just for tonight. Your lovemaking lifted me like an exotic star,    gone too soon, as perspiration showers,     ended the evening desires. Just for tonight. As we slept our memories were stolen,    and our dreams disappeared quietly. The dawning would bring forth a new morning,    and all would forget. Just for tonight.
