Never Level Down To Please The Pea-Brains

Depth of thoughts run deeper than most can ever conger up to the surface of their minds. So they raise stop signs, give condescending looks fat with ignorance and fear; trying to dull  brilliant ideas the moment they appear. Everything is gained to better an IQ, higher than the level of a mere passer by, is more worth the time then to hold back and resign. Excel in your power to remain above looking past shallow design for others are content in ease willing to stop the climb. "We don't change to converse with anyone." or "Do we?"

Ok, the title is weird, but it got your attention, yes?

Hi Deni, The title is certainly an attention grabber but more than the title is the porgress you have made in the area of 'form'. Clipped to the point of what is required and absent of the unnecessary, the poem is concise and quite hard-hitting. I liked the manner in which you employ rhyme as this moves the poem along with a domino effect. minds-signs-time-design-climb....a good example of rhyme that doesn't seem forced and hence presents this piece as sincere. In the third line - did you mean conjure? I enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed the title :-) Duane.

Hi Deni, Yes, the title did get my attention! I think we all are guilty of 'dumming down' sometimes. I don't mean it in a condescending way but rather to make myself understood. So I guess the answer to your question, is yes we do change to converse with others, sometimes. A very thoughtful poem. Best wishes, cheyenne
