The Midnight Rose

your long, nimble fingers stroke my hair as sweet, moist lips caress my mouth ...  sky-blue eyes beam love into mine filtered through dark lashes ...  your whispered undertones in my ear send honeyed shock waves through my body... a sweet jasmine fragrance fills my nostrils as wisps of corn-silk hair brush my cheek... as you press the length  of your nearly nude body against me I strain closer... suddenly you break away laughing and running... I chase you toward the ebbing tide of our sunset beach... when the moon is high we will claim... the midnight rose... © written 7/7/1981 by Donna Saulsman Friedrichs  revised and submitted 7-06-2000
