Perfect Light

A star beaming so bright its shine a manger’s light The glory of the heavens sighs as he in swaddled bed lies So precious a gift, this child all angels on high did smile From God’s hand we are blessed His pure light, in our hearts                         forever pressed

I am enjoying this season. It seems particularly needed this year. You "little ditty" reminds of the purpose and blessing that is. To not, the use of "forever" is particularly telling in you verse. Without it, the season ends, with it, it transcends. A very pleasant piece.

This is more than just a little something Lora. It has the spirit of the holiday wrapped up with a beautiful write on the reason we celebrate Christmas. Each line is poetic and pure. There is not one thing I would change for this and it would make a beautiful Christmas card. Happy holidays, blessings, Deni

Hi Lora, Thanks for posting something to bring some cheer and joy in line with the season. This offering magnifies the season but in a spiritual way (as it should be) bearing no mention of the commercialism that has overcome it. I apologise for the brief critique offered on the last poem I critiqued of yours, being pressed for time. I hope all is well. Duane.

Hi Lora, This is a lovely poem. I don't think I have read a rhyming verse from your talented pen. I like the rhyme, the well chosen words and the beautiful message. You may have stepped out of the box to write a rhyme but you have done a fine job. Merry Christmas, cheyenne
