A Questing Song

Hold on, hold on to the Earth and Sky Hold on, hold on to the Wind and Fire Let the Waters of Rebirth Flow And all that’s holding you back         Let it go, let it go We walk, we walk with focused intent We sit, we sit with solemn reverence Listening to nature, spirits and all Longing to hear the beat of         Mother Earth’s Call, Mother Earth’s Call We seek, we seek a vision for all We yearn, we yearn to answer the call Bringing hope to renew the Earth And then transforming ourselves          Through Rebirth, through Rebirth

Additional Notes:
This is a song written while on Vision Quest several years ago - well the first verse was. I have added two verses to it since then.

Mandie, I think, in a nutshell “we yearn to answer the call” is as universal as it gets. I know, because I speak to them, there is a whole world of people who haven’t a clue about a sojourn, of purpose or in this life alone. The video society is making it all worse, and better. It all depends on what they watch and do. Your verse, a searching, yet triumphant exclamation, brings in the beatific countenance of the earth, an anthropomorphic look as a character that can only be absorbed by proxy, yet is a personable as the person next to you. In watching “the earth” I found it heartening to find the soul merging with the content of the earth and the universe. The “vision” and “solemn reverence” is much how I see it all. An inspiring piece, thank you for sharing it. .
