Secert Solitude

To muster a courage, to express a need      of feelings sur pressed within, To place to action from thoughts to deed      preceptions of you as a friend. The mind reluctant, maintaining control,      daily directing this solitude, Guiding the footsteps of spirit and soul,      guarding a heart against all intrude. To watch you move, catch a glimpse of those eyes,      the absence of a wedding band, To wear this mask, my countenance disquised,      speculations of simply holding your hand. Your silk spun skin, that girlish smile,      your lips, I lone to kiss. The humility you display is that of a child,      but rejection I dare not risk. I know not your name, too timid to ask,      our ages differ by years. To break the ice, an incredible task,      obedience to shyness and fear.                         -lamar
