Nice acrostic Mandie with a sorrowful message that could apply to many. Everyone is born with self-esteem, unfortunately somewhere along the road "others" can/will damage the minds of beautiful people who have every reason to know they are worth so much more. Good poem, blessings, Deni

Mandie, a powerful look at a personal disturbance. As for style, it suits the subject, as to the turmoil buried in the piece- obviously volumes could be written. What I take away from reading this is such a low esteem issue, where "we're nobody special" that it tears at the heart of the reader. The inverse, that is, "everyone is someone special" is accented in a black to white manner; though unspoken and in this context, contested. A dark energy in this well written piece.

Hi Mandie, I didn't know you were in the hospital and hope you are better now. This is dark poem that goes beyond melancholy. I can't imagine what happened in life to think one is everyone's trash. It would have to be a defeating event that is difficult to recover from or forget. You have made expressive word choices and even though short it is a powerful poem. Well done. Best wishes, cheyenne
