Songbirds Our songbirds with their golden song and voice and their sweet acappella trilling notes that carries tunes aloft we made a choice to watch the robins with their reddish coats They seem to come from angel like duets our love is stilled in silent breathless tunes Embraced in passion’s kiss without regrets with magic sounds the poets write their runes Come sit beside me dear, I need your arms that chained my heart to yours so long ago then shower me now with your sweetest charms and keep in harmony where ere we go Between the lulls that waiting breath has weighed the birds will chirp a song for love’s cascade |

A beautiful piece of remembance and continuance.
It struck a chord immediatly with me. There are many songbirds in my backyard. Except when those harpy crows and bluejays are screeching thier devilish tones, the birds fill the air with sonic beauty.
There is much in your verse that prepares us for stanza three- and in that stanza you lay the foundation for what will remain.
A very touching and well written piece.
