Baggage

some say you are what you eat but I don't eat anymore content to survive on coffee and nicotine we are more easily defined by what we carry with us I carry business cards in my wallet one from the older man who tried to flirt with me while walking down Santa Monica Boulevard remarking upon my gorgeous jawline one from the college public safety officer who waited with me for a tow truck one from my college advisor reminding me of my appointment one from a car salesman encouraging me to trade in my car where I carry my schoolbooks, spare change, spare clothing, music, and empty fast food containers, prolife bumper sticker on the rear on my bedroom door I have  postcards from around the world, places I've been and places I hope to be small snippets to tantaliza my mind inside the room is sparsely decorated some ceiling stars, a crucifix, a lava lamp, a candle and if the candle were to fall upon me in my sleep apparent spontaneous combustion when they found my blackened body would you be able to tell who I was? and who would clear all my baggage?
