Beauty of the Spirit The physical illusions of beauty consisting of values distorted and twisted into frighteningly thin while wearing plastic smiles full of startling white perfect teeth We avert our eyes from what we call ugliness- too old too fat too sick too different unadorned by wealths decadence Seemingly uninterested in spiritual beauty whose face is that of an angel beyond comparison to any 'supermodel' And defies thin with its' engorged obesity- its'fleshy folds draping the hearts of all who happen upon its' dazzling smile 7/00 |
