Chaos

I fold my heart in tiny pieces and keep them under my bed Just another vain attempt to get you out of my head I lock the door with fourteen locks and swallow every key Just another silly ploy to keep you away from me Why can't this be easy Why can't you leave me alone My inner peace keeps getting louder everytime you phone I drown myself in a crystal glass of the sweetest strawberry wine Just another small endeavor to take back what is mine I bury myself in sheets of silk coloured orange and gold and red Just another trick I use  to try to clear my head Why can't this be simple Why can't it just be done My soul is cold with the rain of you and I need to feel the sun

Additional Notes:
Thought I'd post something not quite as dark as my other poems here. This was written for a friend who was dealing with a guy who broke up with her but kept stringing her along with 'maybes'.
