Shards of Thought - 1 to 5

#1 - Knowing shadows keep secrets      I've spoken of you only to the night      All the dark hours before dawn have heard              Of how your smile can warm my mind              Of how your eyes can softly speak              Of how your hand lays gentle in my hand #2 - The room shivers silently without you      Cold candles stand sentinel      Offering yesterdays pictures      In melted wax      No reason to rekindle      Vanilla scented laughter      There is little solace       In butterfly-covered walls,      Flower-strewn sheets      Your pillow is vacant #3 - Summer warm, that night      Still, a threatening darkness      Fingered in      Between scarce moonbeams      It seemed      Like all the stars were winking out      Light would have disappeared      If not for a warm ember      Shimmering spark to bright      Begun in clasped hands #4 - The best of times is when      I can see the sunrise in your eyes      Full with last night's memories      Shining bright with emerald smiles      Holding warm the promise of a new day #5 - Every day he brought her      Wild strawberries and      Fresh spring water      Flowers,      Songs and dances      To music only they could hear

Additional Notes:
Please treat as one poem - although they seem to be five separate ideas, the thoughts are sequential and they all revolve around one event in one particular time-frame
