Giant Oak

Giant Oak A torrent wind exploded every day Oak trees' foliage it tore away Rumbled its limbs, contorting its bark Slowly, surly, light went to dark Continuing its force throughout the night Wind was determined to conquer this fight As night turned to day Giant Oak  held its ground With disseminated debris from trees all around Wind so dispirited it gave in and spoke "How have you stood there and beared Giant Oak?" Giant Oak responded with an athletic plight  "Give up insipid wind you're losing this fight You can rip my leaves clean, take my branches away But my legs are really strong embedded in earth Growing stronger and stronger since an acorn gave birth Impossible to reach they're all covered in clay Solid as they are I must now say to you Since you're the one that started this coo Rumble and strain with all your might Try as you may but you'll lose this fight"
