The Perfect Poem

written lines read between by creative souls   who crack the locks  no logical key will fit walking unmapped paths, listening to silent noise for direction  through mystery toward  an unknown destination anticipation  giving strength       to go on  harmony begins its song urging straining ears to hear light begins its dance allowing treasures to be seen      with floodgates loosed reasoning is drowned  by imagination,  pulled down and under, flooding the senses with invisible pools of honey  into which sensitive fingers are dipped,  then lifted for waiting lips to taste   a delicious sweetness  beyond resistance incessant appetite  holds spellbound  the heart and soul already willing captives by the wonder and awe  of words  never written never read  never spoken viewed  through stained glass seams which reveal the most beautiful lines ever painted © 7-12-2000 by Donna Saulsman Friedrichs
