New Years

In a world of whims and new found foes where am I to go what paths should I ponder What was white  is now black What was was pure  is now ponderous  Living now in a unkind maze  full of delights  and nightmares days My God is not listening My angels have turned away The devil has his arms outreached Welcoming me to his unwanted home I don't know  if the morning can save my soul but the sun  keeps trying

Joe, this is more dark than any of your other poems I've read - you've given the reader fine written lines that bring out the emotions in this piece - changes cause gaps in life - I don't believe you've been forgotten - I do believe the higher power cares - and this home is only temporary - Within you lies the answer - and I believe if you work at it daily - the answer will come - bringing a more positive path for you - to save your soul and allow you to see the colors in life again. Good read- blessings, Deni '
