THE CROSSING

The road is clear The path swept clean Step slowly, but surely over the unused bridge. The air is lighter It smells alive Put it behind you with no turn of the head. Walk into the present Have it with you always The anchor has been raised First carry only yourself. Bare a free spirit Float with the wind From the one to the many and the many to the one. Leave time to dance Or a stop of peace Rush no more  through the forest of life. Beams of light Walkways of darkness Minutes in one, hours in another All leads to an end, choose now. Crossing them all at unprogrammed times The mix is in balance Giving entrance to the circle.
