Prayer

I am on my fragile knees dear Lord My voice is frail and weak I may be singular and lost in mediocrity But give me the strength to be heard Grant me the courage to overcome and express Lend me Your eternal wisdom in confidence To feed Your starving children And to shelter our homeless Give me hope to succeed in the end Show me humility so I always remember my goal Endow knowledge on me, so that I may teach Force oppression unto me, so I may respect Embrace me and let me help heal our ills Allow me pride, but also dignity Judge me as I do my compatriots in frustration Guide me to patience and understanding Let me be at peace with myself
