Gentility

Gentility, a thing of the past, when a man treated a lady as such and she responded in kind. How could it be that this, too, has come to pass? Once a formal necessity, now, an errant choice blind to the purveyor;  blinding to the recipient. Once a lovely delicate blossom, now withering petals fading in color and form retreating from sun as well as storm.
