The End of Grief

The hole in the asphalt has closed silted in with time pebbles struck by frustrated soles ash sifting out of stolid city skies Winds have broken down the skeleton of the ship that grounded here all unexpected the unforgiving street rising up from under the waves Its bones are bleached The wound has closed  in the street but the sidewalk doesn’t glitter anymore
