Falsehood

All in anguish, We come together in pain Is it that we care? Or is false sympathy our desperate motive? What of the touched souls? Do we really offer heart-felt compassion? Or do we see gain for falsified emotion? When the sands run low, Would you bite the bullet for me? Or be corrupted by wrongful intentions? And let rabid wolves ravage my being. Does unconditional love still exist? Or is the union a parasitic disease of greed? Has virtue come crashing down? What happened to the pillar of Honour? Who destroyed its existence? Where has mutual respect gone? Have they all been washed down The same deceit-riddled gutter? Or has society forgotten? Do we not remember? If standing alone as many, The sword shall surely slay swiftly. But to come together and stand as one, The sword of oppression shall be rendered fruitless.
