The Shoe

Found on the path today Worn Forlorn Untied Showing the marks of usefulness Lost now by neglect Out of character by its singular presence Understandable Were it a bad fit Discarded But only one? The unknown conjuring asks Why its deposit here? Seems strange Was it by some distraction felled Unbeknown? Something fatal? Its mate now somewhere same-stated Divorced Useless except for hopping
