The Goodbye

I looked into your eyes As we said our goodbyes Each of us trying to keep dry eyes… In the depths of them I could see That we were always meant to be… Our friendship and love was destiny I was aching…already missing you so The tears were beginning to flow And even though you now must go My love, in 'us' you must believe That you and I will always be… No matter how far across the sea My heart is locked, no longer free You're forever the holder of the key I know with absolute certainty This love will last for all eternity
