Here Today...Gone Tomorrow

In the beginning a friendship began Maybe we both should have ran It wasn't even planned... Don't think either of us truly understands God is the only one who knew what was in his plan Sharing all our tears, pain and sorrows Wishing for brighter tomorrows Sharing smiles and laughter... Wanting a happily ever after To forget what past loves had brought Oh who would have thought? The love that we shared wasn't what we sought Had we known today Our love was not here to stay Would we have run the other way? Even though the smiles and laughter Turned to pain, no longer a happily ever after... I would not change one day spent loving you Though the love that we knew Became pain and sorrow Here today, gone tomorrow

Additional Notes:
Ok people this poem is a real old one...ok not that old (3 years) I wrote it to a person I thought I'd cherish the love we had for that short time no matter what...even though it was here today, gone tomorrow. But...didn't know he'd turn out to be a ROYAL PAIN ... LOL And isn't worth a grain of salt...ok ya got my drift LOL I tried rewritting it...and rewritting it, but I guess I just don't have those feelings anymore... so HELP>>>> please.... :) And if ya think I should just trash it...well tell me ok? :) Thanks so much
