Parenting

This being a single parent It's quite apparent They aren't easy fitting shoes You often have to pay the dues One minute they "Hate you" They try and debate you Screaming, slamming the door Throwing a tantrum on the floor When the coast is clear They suddenly appear Wanting you to hold them near Saying "Mom, you're the best" And you wait for the rest… Thinking there has to be a catch Must be a chocolate chip cookie batch? Then three little words, "I love you" And well…just about anything you'll do!
