Have I Betrayed

Lazily, And yet with a skirmish haste I sigh and sigh But my hungry sorrow does not evaporate with my breath Each step brings a thousand blows As a woman beating me with her bare hands Heard a conversation that doesn't agree with our agreement Pounds me like a cheating husband I relish the adrenaline And don't quite know how to defend myself, if at all Have I betrayed Has the intention grown still Who do I think of when the tears come Or when I come To wander aimlessley Or exuberantly in the heat through the noise Do ambition, lust, and comfort inhabit my stomach With absolute transience Shall I choose Or will they thrash each other Until a couple float to the top Leaving my heart weakened and with nothing to beat
