Alone in a Room Alone in a room The darkness encircles me Blocking any hope of light It calls me in to see its evil beauty Knowing I am vulnerable It wants to grab my soul Taking me to a place Where I will be no more Alone in a room I fight back the tears Reaching out to find the light That is no longer there The darkness calls to me Whispers my name And I slowly succomb to its grasp Alone in a room The tears begin to fall Shedding something onto the darkness There is a shimmer of light after all It creeps through the curtains Blowing with the wind As the darkness struggles to hold me I fight it again Alone in a room I fight to make my way To the light that beckons me To come its way Not holding back the tears any longer The darkness gets weaker As the light now encircles me And pushes it away Alone in a room Another chance I am given To walk with the light And to start living. |
