Thoughts Of Time

A boy amongst mighty men Many are quick to judge And so precious few offering guidance All shall spew forth hilarity at the failures While select handfuls will applaud appraise At toiled success when it's born in time Suffering spears of sarcastic ridicule To seek the hidden path of the sage within Sharp intellect overthrows the dictatorship Of bronzed and brutal muscular idiocy Beware the timid mouse, slinked silently alone They are the strongest of all When at wit's end, and sinew can't accomplish The steroid juggernaut will tumble Oppressed for superior workings of mentality The masses of frail frame shall ascend And literary penmanship shall overtake barbaric swordplay Rising to the plateau of mental nirvana While casting aside the shackles of war-torn society Scholars remain alive using their wisdom As glory hunting soldiers perish by their own steel A wise man will never venture off to conflict For he has honed the capacital workings of the mind And realizes insipid savages will depart for him Only the foolish and anemic of conscious thought Would battle in another's war Throughout the passing of eternal ages Sharpened steel will always cleave the butter of flesh Yet, A brilliant mind will live on through time
