LEAVE THE WINDOW OPEN

Leaving the window open      he returns to the unmade bed Every thing he has perceived      is neither living nor dead As the sleepwalker has stirred      all about once again Venturing through the night      on the wings of the wind Evading what is reality      escaping the mortal mind Taking part in a tangled journey      where his heart has come to find Horror and serenity      stand on a pedestal with hatred and love Emerging from the ruins      of what mere dreamers cannot rise above Windows - embellished doorways –      in a moment can swiftly close In a world where a treasure sought after      is a prize one never knows Nothing can be impossible      a place called Nowhere does exist Decieving the dream he knows the battle      awaits beyond the mist Outmatched are the unbecoming      where all cowardice has faded away When the sleepwalker and his thoughts      enter the ceaseless fray Only recalling the fight is for something      far beyond this land Pain is an illusion      reaching for would leave empty hands Examine the sleepwalker’s soul      a broken window it may seem Never say never to him      for nothing stands in the way of his dream.
