My Precious Golden Friend

friendships die all too quickly i trusted too easily too soon i'd drop the barrier the barrier between the me i'd created for the outside world and my one true self the self too hideous to be revealed as always they would all turn away then i found you sweet wonderful you my precious golden friend you were ALWAYS there so unafraid of my own true self you were there whenever i needed whenever i feared whenever i cried you made me a princess who was loved by all you gave me the strength so desperately needed to face the cruel world no longer hiding no longer afraid  but like all  friendships before i had trusted too quickly for you too  my precious golden friend became my most vicious enemy but i needed you i craved you only for you did i live i shunned all others to keep you in my life my whole world was you you created a haze where NOTHING else mattered only you my life was for you my precious golden friend finally i realized your true cruel intentions too late i feared too be saved from you my precious golden friend i turned away  this time i was the one who shunned you while still desperately loving you my precious golden friend although now we are separate i know you are here always waiting waiting until i need you again my precious golden friend to start once again where we ended i must keep my strength i must face the cruel world i must face it alone without you my precious golden friend for i know deep in my being that to take you back into my life that you  my precious golden friend that then you will kill me without you i live
