My Sweet Little Princess

My sweet little princess, I can't help but wonder how you met your friend, your precious golden friend. Is it because of me? Were you smothered by love, What I thought love to be? All through the years I clung, trying to live your life, controlling your being. Never letting you try flying out on your own. I crushed those tender wings holding on too tightly. We've both come a long way, you now have a new friend who gave you stronger wings. So I'm letting you go  to start a better life, I wish you happiness. All my love, your mother.

Additional Notes:
I thought for a long time I was part of the cause of my daughter's alcohol problem, but after attending Al-Anon, I found out that wasn't the case. I am very proud of her now for going to AA
