My Friend

Sometimes I hear His voice so clear   I start, but then remain to hear. I would but listen to His part   To find just how he'll cheer my heart. His words so gentle yet so strong   Can stop the world and right the wrong. I'm so secure to yield my mind   To He who does not live in time. His nature is to find great pleasure   In filling my cup to greater measure. He then withdraws enough to see    If we'll be friends eternally.
