Glow Fireflies Glow

Backyards come alive with hundreds of flickering lights Fireflies are their name Kids peek through their fingers to see if they captured something bright Summer brings fireflies at night Erratic flights and sudden disappearances make catching fireflies a fun game Backyards come alive with hundreds of flickering lights The glowing aerial ballet is a captivating sight They are most abundant after a night rain Kids peek through their fingers to see if they captured something bright Even when captured these insects do not bite No two species blink the same Backyards come alive with hundreds of flickering lights Children stare into jars of winking, blinking bugs with delight Fireflies are gentle and tame Kids peek through their fingers to see if they captured something bright One, two three scores of fireflies flutter in flight Fireflies have decreased--too many chemicals are to blame Backyards come alive with hundreds of flickering lights Kids peek through their fingers to see if they captured something bright.
